Dr. Thomas M. Brown is a native of Toronto, Canada. His undergraduate education was at Centennial College and York University. His Bachelors of Science degree is in Human Biology. Dr. Brown enrolled at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from that institution in 1976. After graduation, he returned for post-graduate studies at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. There, he furthered his education in physical and clinical diagnosis, spinal biomechanics and physical therapy. Dr. Brown moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to accept a staff position at the Keith Clinic of Chiropractic, P.A. in 1976. Since 1976 he practiced with Dr. Fletcher Keith in the treatment of traumatic injuries to the neck and back.
Dr. Brown has been associated with the research techniques of Dr. John Faye of Ottawa, Canada and Belgium. Dr. Faye is director of the Motion Palpation Institute, an internationally renowned organization. Along with this, he has completed a five-year post-graduate program in Orthopedics. This enabled Dr. Brown to qualify as a board qualified Chiropractic Orthopedist.
Dr. Brown was appointed by the Governor of North Carolina to the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where he served six years.
Dr. Brown is an avid runner and bicyclist. Completing ten marathons, including New York, Boston and the Marine Corps Marathon.
Dr. Brown has two daughters. His eldest daughter, KJ, graduated from North Carolina State University. His youngest daughter, Erin, is attending North Carolina University of Chapel Hill.
